I’m Melissa Doyle, a proud advocate of Wisconsin’s agricultural industry. Growing up on my family’s livestock and crop farm in rural Mineral Point, Wisconsin, is what first sparked my passion for agriculture, and it has been growing ever since. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a master’s degree in Life Sciences Communication and a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural and Applied Economics. My experiences through school, internships and extracurricular organizations have helped to expand my knowledge of the agricultural field, as well as have greatly influenced my career goals.
Through my blog, I hope to share with you interesting facts, statistics and stories about our state’s leading agricultural industry. Every year, Wisconsin farmers and agricultural businesses generate over $59 billion in economic activity. These agriculturalists offer hundreds of products and services that help to make Wisconsin a powerful frontrunner in today’s agricultural society.
